It was in 1974 that we  opened our doors as Venus Pizza in the Historic Fairhaven District. For many years we were known as "the place" for pizza in Bellingham. Our pizzas are made daily by hand and have been our signature item from day one.

In 1986, our kitchen staff created THE WHITE PIZZA. This pizza uses our homemade house salad dressing instead of the traditional red sauce on a pizza. This sauce makes for a great alternative to the red sauce.
Since we opened our doors we have always had more than just pizza, but our traditional name didn't reflect our Italian menu, so in 1988 we changed our name to Stanello's Italian Restaurant. We also added more salads, sauces and our famous GREEK PIZZA.

In 1994 we celebrated out 20th anniversary. To show this commitment to the Fairhaven District, Stanello built the Frannick Building, the new home for Stanello's Italian Restaurant. The Frannick Building was posthumously named after Stanello's parents.

In 2000, we added some new pasta entrees to the menu. These lighter dishes - sautéed in fresh herbs, garlic and olive oil - are fabulous! They became instant Bellingham favorites.

We celebrated our 30th year with a year long celebration with a special event on December 13, 2004.  Our original menu from that night in 1974 was used and everyone had a great time..
