Re-Heating Leftovers

There is nothing like going to the fridge, throwing open the door, and 'oh yeah', Stanello's leftovers from the night before. It's O.K., many have tired, but our portions are so big that few can finnish a classic Stanello's Italian dinner. So now comes the hard part - 'How to best re-heat a Stanello's Italian dinner?' Our classic mediteranean chefs are willing to share their tricks with you.

  1. Alfredo, Pesto and Clam Sauce (or any cream-based pasta)
Using a soup pot or heating in a microwave is the best method for re-heating a cream-based pasta. Either way, add a little cream (or milk) to the pasta to bring back the creamy texture. Heat slowly on low heat or on low-power in your microwave. Don't use water or butter as both will 'break' the sauce and ruin the dish.

  2. Spaghetti with Meat or Caccitori sauce
Using a soup pot, or heating in a microwave is the best method for re-heating a tomato sauce pasta. Either way, add a little water to the pasta before heating. Heat slowly on low heat or on low-power in your microwave.

  3. Pizza
Wrapping slices of pizza in a moist paper towl and microwaving on low-power will keep the toppings moist and offer the best-tasting pizza.
